Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the Obsignals Chrome extension collects, why, where it goes and who else receives it. It covers the extension; the obsignals.com website is covered by the cookie section below.

Obsignals is a Chrome side panel that delivers binary-options trading signals.

What we collect, and why

We only request data we need to run the service.

• Email address: when you create an account or sign in. Identifies your account and receives verification and password-reset codes.
• Password: when you sign in or change it. Used for authentication only, sent directly to Google Firebase Authentication and never stored by us.
• Verification codes (OTP): when you verify your email or reset your password.
• Authentication tokens: after you sign in, to keep you signed in between sessions.
• Account identifier: links your account to your subscription.
• Subscription status: determines whether OTC signals are unlocked.
• Support messages: when you use the contact form. Contains the subject and the text you write.
• Interface language, time zone and notification preference: to show times in your zone and write notifications in your language.

We do not collect browsing history, page content, keystrokes, location, contacts or health data. The extension contains no analytics or telemetry of any kind.

We never see your payment card. Checkout opens on Stripe's hosted page in a separate tab; card details are entered on Stripe's site and never pass through the extension or our servers.

Who we share it with

These are all the parties that receive user data, and what each receives.

• Google (Firebase Authentication): receives your email address, your password at the moment you sign in, and issues the tokens that keep you signed in. If you use Sign in with Google, Google also provides us an identity token containing your email and basic profile.
• Stripe: receives your email address and the plan you chose, to create and manage your subscription. All payment processing happens on Stripe's own pages.
• Resend: delivers our transactional emails, that is, verification codes and password resets. It receives your email address and the content of those messages.
• Partner brokers: when you navigate to a partner broker, the extension adds our referral parameter to the address. The broker's servers therefore see that parameter alongside your visit, which is how the referral is attributed to us. The extension does not read, log or transmit anything about those pages, and we receive no personal data back, only aggregate referral counts.

We do not sell user data. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or any party not listed above. We disclose data only when required by law.

Where it is stored, and for how long

On your device: your session (email, account identifier, authentication tokens) and your settings (language, time zone, notifications) are stored in your browser. They are removed when you sign out or uninstall the extension.

On our servers: your account record, with email, account identifier and subscription status, is kept for as long as your account exists. Support messages are kept only as long as needed to answer you.

Data in transit is protected with HTTPS. Data at rest is protected using commercially accepted measures against loss, theft and unauthorised access.

Your choices and rights

• Delete your account: Settings, then Delete account, inside the extension. This removes your account and the personal data attached to it from our servers.
• Turn off notifications: Settings, then Notifications.
• Sign out: removes your session and settings from the device.
• Ask us about your data: use the contact form in the extension, or write to [email protected]. You may refuse to provide personal data, bearing in mind that an account is required to receive signals.

Cookies on the website

The obsignals.com website uses one cookie category: measurement, through Google Analytics. It tells us how many people visit and which pages they read; it does not identify you by name and is not used for advertising.

The pages also load the Inter typeface from Google Fonts, which sets no cookie but does receive your IP address.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works the same without them. See our Cookies Policy for the detail.

The Chrome extension does not use cookies, and contains no analytics or telemetry.

Children

Obsignals is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects how your data is used, notify you in the extension.
